| My name is Sensei Victor Vega my hopes are that all readers can look upon this humble site and find a way I have opened a school for the general public as a place for all people to come and train in a safe and professional environment the art of self defence. There is nothing for sale and no gimmicks. With the idea to help educate in the area of street fighting and self defence awareness . What my goal is to try to take a student with no background and make him a formadable fighter .The training here is intended to teach a single fight to multiple opponents using the technics of dragon martial arts..Dragon is a system derived from the okinawan, korean, and chinese.primarily chinese ,using northern long fist , and southern short fist technics it is a dificult art but yet simple, if your basics are already learned, anyway i do not expect a student too pick up all the learnings , what i do is work with the students and try to find a way for that specific student ,some are great kickers and some are great punchers so we try to better his or her stronge point and at the same time ,get all the students used to the basics in the eastern world, traditions and philosophies.not excluding, western systems which are also used here. We are a non profit organization, and we are a extended family,we are United as One.There is no race creed or color difference, all treated the same, with respect. Our katas are from korean and okinawan background, we learn all the korean taeguek forms and the okinawan nianchin forms and pinan forms , that alone is only the beginning, we condition and build our bodies to be stronge and last long so expect to sweat every time we train only once a week as a formal class the other training you must do on your own , and the students is checked in front of the class on a regular basis. we promote students to colored belts ,as to know where the student level is ,we teach peace through control.. There can be no guarantees in a street fight. Each encounter is unique and brings with it dynamics and circumstances that make it a one of a kind situation.because of that ,we train all areas, from kicking to punching to ground work you name it we do it.We have padding so the fighters do not get injured ,and supervision is there and that supervision is me,i am present and directing the movement at all times,we have children and women all mixed ,there is no playing and disrespect allowed. That being said; there ARE concrete principles that determine the outcome of confrontational situations. The more complete and accurate your understanding of those principles are, the greater your chance of success in defending, defusing or escaping from one.So i make sure to explain situations and what you could do with it. I'll say it again, if you're not taking into account that you may be attacked by more than one assailant, you're not taking a realistic or a complete approach to your self defense training . Hoping that this type of situation doesn't happen to you, or "worrying about it when the time comes" is the WORST thing you can do. An attack by multiple assailants is a challenging, confusing, chaotic situation that will be accompanied by intense fear, stress and danger. Under stress the parts of your brain responsible for creative or logical thought are impaired. Your ability to "think up solutions on the fly" will be compromised. Your behavior is far more likely to be based on past thinking, experience and training. To complicate things even further, intense stress also impairs your ability to perform coordinated and complex movements. Techniques that you practice in the safety of your self-defense or martial arts class may not translate well to the harsh reality of a street fight. Our intent is to take a good, hard, realistic look at multiple assailants street fights and provide you with some food for thought about the dynamics involved and strategies to consider if you were to encounter one. To better improve our realistic goal of providing sound and all around training ,we have asked ,shihan Terkawi to help, his skills and teachings are the best and we look upon him as our senior ,leadership here in the state of kuwait.and we thank him for providing time out of his very tight schuedule to help us .,Thank Shihan So travel to the pages as you see fit there is alot there all coming from my little brain and invite friends to come and see. Respectfully Sensei Victor |
